Lourdes University was honored to have Mr. Gerrel Jones as a speaker as part of our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programming series. Mr. Jones has the rare ability to teach theories such as systemic racism and microaggression by illustrating these concepts into the telling of his personal story. His honesty, humility and humor draw his listeners into his life story.

I have worked with Gerrel in a professional capacity where he brought together potential offenders with law enforcement leaders to help curb gun violence. In presenting to these groups, I found him to be motivational and inspiring. Through his unique lived experience, he was able to connect with this population very effectively. He is a unique presenter who speaks from the heart and, in doing so, connects with his audience.

I have never met anyone like him. He is definitely going to exceed your expectations in whatever you ask of him. If you only get to hear but one person speak this year, it should be Gerrel Jones!
